Type-C connection explained:
USB-C is a new connector shape generally released from 2015, the connector itself supports USB 3.1 and USD PD (Power Delivery) which allows power to be delivered to your device to charge, eventually the large USB type should disappear, as USB only delivers power one way and USB-C has the massive benefit of both ways, the latest MacBooks, laptops and notebooks all have this connector, as do the latest USB-C charging plugs from Apple.

Apple Lightning connection explained:
Apple Lightning connector was released in 2012 and replaced Apples older connector, this 30 pin was introduced to steam line the connection of charging as well as allowing higher speeds of charging and is used on a whole host of devices such as iPods, IPads, USB chargers and iphones as well as many more devices.

This is just the cable and if your device needs the 29w or 30w USB-C plug these can be found below.
