The new socket AMD FM1 motherboard from Asus. The FM1 socket motherboard looks very similar to the older AM2 and AM3 sockets but will not fit these types of CPU’s. You need an AMD FM1 CPU to fit into the AMD FM1 motherboards. The FM1 motherboards no longer have the actual CPU chip built on the motherboard, they do have the VGA & DVI connection for your monitor if you decide not to install a pci express graphics card into the pci express slot. But the power of the VGA comes from the built in ATI technology in the AMD CPU chip.
